We measure the garage and plan around the doors, windows, outlets, water heater and parking space, then draw the layout in 3D so you can check cabinet sizes and shelf spacing before anything is built. Typical pieces are:

A built-to-order wood storage wall is sized to the garage itself: it can run full height, wrap a corner, clear the garage door track, stop short of a water heater or include a bench under a window, and the doors can match the style of the house.
