The work that finishes the room
Cabinetry only looks built-in when the details around it are right: the panels at the ends of a run, the trim where cabinets meet the ceiling, the scribe along an uneven wall, the mantel over a fireplace. That is finish carpentry and millwork, and it is part of what Conejo Woodworks does on every project.
Conejo Woodworks holds California Contractors State License Board license #976852, classification C-6 Cabinet, Millwork and Finish Carpentry. The license covers the cabinetry and the millwork and finish carpentry around it.

A local woodworking shop
Everything we make is built to order in our shop at 817 Mitchell Rd Ste 205 in Newbury Park, then installed by us. Conejo Woodworks was formed to offer professional, high quality cabinetry and millwork at an affordable price, right here in the community we call home. Optimized nesting makes efficient use of materials, which helps keep costs down.
Because the same team designs, builds and installs the work, the millwork is planned with the cabinetry from the start rather than added at the end.
Matching what’s already there
In older homes, new work has to sit next to original trim and cabinetry. When a project calls for it, we build new cabinetry to match your existing cabinets and trim, so a new bookcase beside an original fireplace, or new cabinets in a remodeled kitchen, looks like it has always been there.
Paint- and stain-grade doors and panels come from Corona Millworks in shaker, five-piece and slab styles, and finishes include Renner wood finishes and Sherwin-Williams paints and coatings. See what goes into our cabinets.
Fireplace walls
For fireplace walls we balance the firebox, the mantel and the cabinetry on either side. Our work includes white bookcases over base cabinets on both sides of a white mantel in Moorpark, and media walls with linear fireplaces, floating shelves and glass-front cabinets in Camarillo and Westlake Village. Paneling and feature walls
Wood slat panels and feature panels give a media wall or a bedroom wall texture and warmth. We’ve built a walnut slat media wall with floating shelves in a Los Angeles home and a white media wall with a wood feature panel in Oak Park. In kitchens, crown molding and paneled refrigerator columns carry the cabinetry to the ceiling, like the light oak kitchens we built in the Santa Rosa Valley.
