Custom kitchen cabinets for Oxnard homes
Perimeter cabinets, islands, pantry walls and hoods for Oxnard kitchens, measured on site, designed in 3D and built to order in our Newbury Park shop.
A kitchen built to your walls, not to stock sizes
Conejo Woodworks designs, builds and installs custom kitchen cabinetry for homeowners in Oxnard. We measure your kitchen, draw it in 3D design software and build every cabinet to order in our shop at 817 Mitchell Rd Ste 205 in Newbury Park, then install it ourselves.
Because nothing is pulled from a stock catalog, the cabinets fit the room you actually have: a window that sits off-center, a soffit you want gone, a wall that is a little out of square, or a refrigerator opening that never quite fit the original boxes.
Kitchens across Oxnard
Oxnard is the largest city in Ventura County, and its kitchens are just as varied. Waterfront homes on the channels at Mandalay Bay and around Channel Islands Harbor, beach houses in Oxnard Shores, golf-course homes in River Ridge, and decades of inland tract neighborhoods all start from very different layouts.
Many inland homes from earlier decades still have their original kitchens, with shallow uppers, a narrow pantry and little drawer storage. Rebuilding the cabinetry is often the biggest change you can make to how the kitchen works day to day.

What we build for Oxnard kitchens
- Perimeter base and wall cabinets, including full-height uppers where the ceiling allows
- Islands and peninsulas with seating, drawers or a sink
- Tall pantry cabinets and paneled refrigerator walls
- Range hoods and hood surrounds
- Drawer banks for pots, dishes and spices
- Pull-outs for trash, recycling and small appliances
Coastal kitchens and finish choices
Near the harbor and the beach, salt air and humidity are part of daily life, and they affect a kitchen more than most rooms. During design we talk through finishes and hardware with that in mind, along with how much sun the room gets and how the kitchen is used.
Inland, the bigger question is usually layout: where to gain counter space, whether an island fits, and how to add storage without closing the room in. The 3D design lets you try those options before anything is built.
Doors, boxes and hardware
Our cabinet boxes are Columbia Forest Products hardwood plywood, mostly prefinished white maple. Doors and drawer fronts come from Corona Millworks in shaker, five-piece and slab styles, in paint- and stain-grade woods, and for a modern kitchen we can use Lioher slab fronts in high-gloss, super-matte or textured woodgrain, including handle-free doors with an integrated finger pull.
Hinges and runners are Blum soft-close hardware. Inside the cabinets we can add base and spice pull-outs, pull-out waste containers, Lazy Susans, tip-out trays, knife blocks and mixer lifts. See what goes into our cabinets.
Timeline and installation
Most kitchens take 4–8 weeks from design approval to installation. Installing the cabinets usually takes 4–5 days, followed by finishing work. When demolition is included in your quote, we remove the existing cabinets first.
Oxnard is a straight run west on the 101 from our shop, down the Conejo Grade and past Camarillo, so measuring, deliveries and site visits are easy to schedule.

Questions about your project
Do you build kitchens in the Oxnard harbor and beach areas?
Yes. We serve all of Oxnard, including Mandalay Bay, Channel Islands Harbor, Oxnard Shores and River Ridge, and we talk through finish and hardware choices for coastal homes during design.
Can you work with my existing layout, or do I have to change it?
Either. We can rebuild the cabinets in the same footprint or rework the layout, for example by adding an island or a pantry wall. You see each option in 3D before deciding.
How long does a kitchen take?
Most kitchens take 4–8 weeks from design approval to installation, and installation itself usually takes 4–5 days, followed by finishing work.
Do you remove the old cabinets?
Yes. When demolition is included in your quote, we remove the existing cabinets.
Who handles permits?
Permits are handled by your general contractor or another party; they are not part of Conejo Woodworks’ scope.
